Description

This project will replace a total of 70 aluminum slider windows in the Rainbow Forest area of Petrified Forest National Park with historically sympathic aluminum-clad wood casement thermal windows. The buildings at Rainbow Forest were built by the Civilan Conservation Corps in the 1930s-1940s and were listed on the National Historic Register in 2001. Contractor will remove and replace existing windows in Rainbow Forest Museum and 7 residences with new MARVIN CASEMASTER or equal aluminum-clad wood casement thermal windows complete with hardware, glazing, weatherstripping, simulated divided lite and standard or specified anchors, trim and attachments. Windows shall conform to American National Standards Institute. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the Department of the Interior's National Business Center (NBC) website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of the soliciation will not be made available. Potential offerors will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the soliciation documents. No other notifications will be sent. NAICS code is 236118. The soliciation is 100% set aside for small business concerns. Issuance of the Request for Quotes is anticipated on or about November 30, 3004. The Government will select the offeror who is low quote. Only hard copy responses to the Request for Proposal will be considered. Electronic proposals will not be accepted.
