- Description
- The Government intends to negotiate an Indefinite Delivery, Requirements type contract with firm fixed prices for training services in support of the Naval Occupational Safety and Health, and Environmental Training Center (NAVOSHENVTRACEN), Norfolk, VA. The contractor shall provide a Principles of Scaffolding course that is designed to provide safety professionals and similar personnel responsible for employees using scaffolds at shore activities with the knowledge of scaffolding principles, weather conditions, aerial lifts, erecting and dismantling, hazard identification, fall protection systems and relevant standards and regulations. The contractor shall also provide an Excavation, Trenching and Soil Mechanics course that is designed to provide similar personnel who are responsible for employees working in excavations at shore activities with knowledge of OSHA standards, soil classification, knowledge in the proper use of trench safety equipment, the ability to recognize unsafe conditions, access/egress, surface crossing, inspection, emergency equipment, hazardous atmospheres, course decisions and citable standards. The period of performance is for one base year with four (4), twelve-month option periods. Training services shall be performed at a variety of CONUS and OCONUS locations. This acquisition is set aside for small businesses. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 611710. The solicitation number for this procurement is N00189-05-R-0008 and will be released on or about 22 November 2004 with a date of 14 December 2004. Potential offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will only be available by downloading the documents at http://www.neco.navy.mil and http://www.fedbizopps.gov. This office no longer issues hardcopy solicitations. By submitting a proposal, the offeror will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the proposal. By submission of a proposal, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
