- The U.S. Army, Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command - Picatinny intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Frank Dindl, Newton NJ to perform Engineering Support to the Small and Medium Caliber Weapons Division of the Armament Research, Development, and Engineering Center in support of Blank Firing System for the Advanced Crew Served Weapon. Service includes developing the Blank Firing System (BFS) for the Advanced Crew Served Weapon (ACSW). Efforts will include generating design improvements to the existing U.S. Patent 6 412 390 dated 2 July, 2002 and supporting development and test efforts to support fielding. The BFS program will provide a blank firing capability to the ACSW to support user training. The Contractor must provide analytical, engineering, and technical services in support of the development of the BFS.The primary location for the performance of work under this contract will be at Picatinny, NJ. In addition, the Contractor must travel as required. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. See Note 22. Point of Contact for this action is Theresa J.
