Description
The Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) #W81GYE-04-R-0071 on or about 26 November 2004 with proposal due 12:00 AM PST, 20 December 2004. SDDC intends to award a Requirement Contrac t for Maintenance, Repair, Opening and Closing service of floating security barriers. 19 December 2004 through 18 December 2007. The work will be performed for 834th. Transportation Battalion, Military Ocean Terminal Concord (MOTCO), and Concord, Concord, CA. These services will require relocation of the entire barrier and anchor system to re-establish security and structural integrity at the assigned pier, in additional to the necessary repositioning to allow ship ingress/egress. The barrier system consist s of heavy-duty, Styrofoam-filled plastic. The barriers are connected in line, and at intervals are connected to steel barrels. Buoys, which are anchored to concrete sinker anchors, and Navy stockless anchors in configuration. The three sided barrier in li ne parameter consist of two 300 ft. legs and one 1250 ft leg. The service shall inducer all necessary labor, equipment and material as needed to move a waterside security system to allow ingree for a ship to dock at Pier and egress for ship to depart from Pier 3, and to re-establish the security and integrity of a floating security barrier system after each action in accordance with the Statement of Work in the RFP. NIACS Code 326199 and Federal Supply Code (FSC) 2410 will apply. Cut off date for questions will be 10 days after release date of the RFP. Questions should be submitted via e-mail to Harry D.
