Description

The Combat Support and Combat Service Support Division at Warren, Michigan is tasked to provide support services for five vessels as part of a modification program at Hythe Shipyard, United Kingdom. Services include installation of Reverse Osmosis W ater Purification Units (ROWPU) designed to meet military requirements. The applicable NAICS is 333319. The size standard is 500 employees. The government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Water & Power, Incorporated, 1273 Scott Street, S an Diego, CA 92106. It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded. Period of performance is date of award through 30 September 2005. Water & Power, Incorporated, is the original manufacturer of the current US Military version of the modified ROWPU. Water & Power, Incorporated has the knowledge, experience and skills required to provide these services. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 there is only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy the government agency requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit technical information and a technical capability statement in response to this notic e. The Benelux Regional Contracting Office, may consider responses. Responses without a return address, mailing address, and company telephone number will not be recognized. No phone calls will be acceptance. Proprietary data in the responses will be prot ected where so designated. NOTE: Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DOD activity. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on respons es to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
