Description

DESC: Cover Assembly FOR THE M249 MACHINE GUN, NSN: 1005-01-463-1008, Part Number 12556986. This solicitation will result in a 3 year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract in accordance with FAR 16.504. The minimum guaranteed quanti ty will be 2,000 each. Consists of 12556987, 9348254, 9348253, and 9348255 pivot, bracket cover, pivot, feed channel and pivot link. Heat treated steel parts and aluminum parts machined and assembled close tolerance. Estimated issue date of the solicita tion is December 8, 2004. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date b y accessing the following address via the Internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is i n fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments, which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. This procurement is 100% small business set-aside. This solicitation incorporates a Tec hnical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the Internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request it by submission of an email request to: tacom-ri-tdp@ria.army.mil.
