Description

The Engineering Field Activity Chesapeake is currently seeking potential sources to procure services in regards to maintaining systems for elevators, dumbwaiters, etc. The work includes inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair services as required to maintain Vertical Transportation Equipment and systems. The intent of this contract is to obtain the best value to the Government in providing services for EFA Chesapeake and its customers/or areas of responsibility at various locations throughout the Washington metropolitan area by means of a combination firm fixed-price and indefinite quantity contract. A winning Service provider would furnish all equipment, labor, management, materials, supervision, tools, and transportation necessary to provide the intended services in accordance with the requirements specified. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Principle working locations include but are not limited to Washington Navy Yard, Naval Station Anacostia, Naval Research Laboratory, National Naval Medical Center Bethesda, Naval Observatory, Defense Information Systems Agency, National Maritime Intelligence Center, Naval Air Facility Andrews, Naval Sea Systems Command, NAS Patuxent River, Marine Corps 8th & I Facility, and Dalecarlia. In Accordance With FAR 5.102(a)(7) availability of the solicitation will be limited to the electronic medium; solicitation will be available for download free of charge via the Internet World Wide Web at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. This is not a request for proposal and the complete specification is not available at this time. All contractual and technical inquiries shall be submitted via electronic mail to: stubbsda@efaches.navfac.navy.mil. Expressions of interest are due back no later than 07 November 2003. Please send comments back to Dan Stubbs via E-mail at stubbsda@efaches.navfac.navy.mil. The final solicitation is scheduled for release on or about 24 November 2003. Any resultant contract will have a performance period, which includes a base year with four option years. Source selection procedures will be utilized in conducting this competitive negotiation, which consists of the submission of price and technical proposals. NOTE: A pre-proposal conference and site visit will be held and the date, time and location will be provided with the final solicitation. NOTE: The apparent successful offeror must be registered in the Department of Defense Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Award will not be made until this requirement is met.
