- 1) In the PWS Section 1.1.b.2 the RFQ, you refer to reference materials, books, and manuals used to develop the themed fitness programs. What does this mean? Do you want copies of the research material we are using? We want reference materials that will promote the programs and activities that are conducted. Maybe a month will be on jump roping activities. The recourses may be 1) healthy bodies 2) jump roping. The healthy body resource may be used all year as a reference (trying to start a library of resources that the staff can use in future programming 2) Please clarify that you're seeking the "marketing services and support" for Fit 4 Fun, and NOT a Youth Fitness program instructor and/or manager with ability to market. And there are "15 AETC FITNESS PROGRAMS" in place at the respective AFBs? We are looking a vendor to: design a marketing plan create and operate a web site create a year long fitness program provide 10 resources that support the year long program and is a start-up resource library There are 15 Youth Centers on 13 Air Force Bases with that will participate. 3) Per PWS section 1.1 item (A), the solicitation states: Develop and create a logo and four mascots capable of doing several activities and incorporate the AETC logo. Questions: What is the number of activities that the mascots will perform? Your call. We would like to go in the following direction... Our goals are to: Get the kids moving Increase fitness programs Increase youth programs membership Four "Fit 4 Fun" areas to focus on are: Physical Fitness Education/Mental Health/Nutrition Social Benefits Safety Maybe a team of 4 characters that are the "Fit Force" (like the Power Rangers). Maybe each of the 4 "Fit 4 Fun" program areas are represented by a member of the "Force" Will the various depictions of the mascots performing the designated activities be used for both print and web media? Yes 4) Per PWS section 1.1 item (A) sub-section 2, the solicitation states: The overall marketing package of the program will include the design and printing of the following: 150 Posters 450 Fliers 3750 Brochures (tri-folds) Marketing materials will be sent directly to each program manager by direction of AETC Questions: How many sets of the collateral described above need to be printed? The numbers above are total for the 15 youth centers. We want the materials to be distributed to the 16 locations listed on the SOW by our direction Will the printing of the collateral material be a single occurrence, or will the need to be additional per each monthly theme? Yes, these will be sent out to kick-off the program and be available to new participants 5) Per PWS section 1.1 item (B) sub-section 1, the solicitation states: Develop monthly themed fitness programs for use in AETC Youth Programs located at 15 sites in the United States. Each month's theme will include no less than 8 fitness program activities suitable to the interest, skills and abilities of 9 to 12 year olds and 6 suitable to interest, skills and abilities of 13 to 18 year olds. Questions: To what extent / degree are the fitness programs to be designed? Are they just simple fitness minded activities or are there specific fitness goals and standards that the AFTC is attempting to meet? Our goals are to: Get the kids moving Increase fitness programs Increase youth programs membership Four "Fit 4 Fun" areas to focus on are: Physical Fitness Education/Mental Health/Nutrition Social Benefits Safety Will the contractor be responsible for implementation of the themed programs? If so, what is the specific level of involvement? Contractor will be responsible to design the programs and provide instructions for implementation. The youth center staff will implement with the participants. 6) Per PWS section 1.1 item (C), the solicitation states: Design, develop, create, host and maintain an interactive web site for the Air Education and Training Command “Fit 4 Fun” Youth Fitness Initiative. Question: Does the AETC already have in its possession the domain name to be used for this project? NO If no, will the contractor be responsible for acquiring this domain name on behalf of the AETC? Yes Which of the following logos will be provided for use in this project: Fit 4 Fun Fitness Initiative logo - No, we are asking the vendor to develop Youth Programs logo - Yes it will be provided AETC Services logo - Yes it will be provided Air Force logo - Yes it will be provided Will any other graphic material to be used in conjunction with the design of the website will be provided? Not unless it is already developed and is agreed upon by vendor and AETC Is there a fee for participating in the youth programs? Yes. If so, is it the desire of the AETC to provide an online interface to conduct e-commerce transactions? No Our goals are to: Get the kids moving Increase fitness programs Increase youth programs membership No, there is no fitness material developed by AF at this time, but we will need to work within the AF guidelines listed below: AFI 34-8 AFI 34-249 AFI 34-804 Air Force Youth Standards 7)For "Provide hard copies of at least 10 reference materials, books or manuals used in the development of the themed fitness programs" The themes will contain several different activities, which will likely not share reference materials, so which would be provided or am I misunderstanding? We want reference materials that will promote the programs and activities that are conducted. Maybe a month will be on jump roping activities. The recourses may be 1) healthy bodies 2) jump roping. The healthy body resource may be used all year as a reference (trying to start a library of resources that the staff can use in future programming We would like to go in the following direction... No, there is not fitness material at this time, but we will need to work within the AF guidelines listed below: AFI 34-8 AFI 34-249 AFI 34-804 Air Force Youth Standards 10) Another question about content development, "What kind of direction will AETC provide as it relates to content development. What Youth Fitness themes are important to the AETC." Are issues such as Anti Drug(Steroids) education something that the AETC would like to highlight? We would like to go in the following direction... Our goals are to: Get the the kids moving Increase fitness programs Increase youth programs membership Four "Fit 4 Fun" areas to focus on are: Physical Fitness Education/Mental Health/Nutrition Social Benefits Safety 11)"Will the selected vendor be responsible for continuous development of content for the year span or will AETC provide all post launch content development" Yes, we are asking the vendor to provide the monthly theme and weekly events/programs that promote the monthly theme.
