- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the National Institute of Statistical Sciences, Research Triangle Park, NC, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting From a Single Source, to renew annual affiliate membership in the NISS affiliates program. This is a sole source requirement as the contractor is the designated source in the Americas for renewing the membership. A fixed price purchase order will be issued on or about Dec. 30, 2004 for a 1 year period with four 1 year option periods. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a request for competition.
