Description
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, National Weather Service (NWS) has a requirement for International Satellite Communications System (ISCS) Workstations, including applications software, with associated documentation and installation, training, and maintenance services. The ISCS Workstations will be used to receive the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) World Area Forecast System (WAFS) satellite broadcasts from the United States. Also, the ISCS Workstations must be capable of receiving and transmitting Regional Meteorological Telecommunications Network (RMTN) data. Installation locations may include sites in Central or South America or the Pacific Islands. The NWS envisions issuing one or more indefinite quantity contracts with an ordering period not to exceed three years. The first delivery is expected to take place within approximately four months after award. Deliveries may extend beyond the end of the ordering period by approximately six months. The maximum number of ISCS Workstations to be acquired will be 25. Solicitation DG133W-05-RP-1037 will be issued on or about December 23, 2004 and will close on or about January 27, 2005. The solicitation will be available on FedBizOpps when it is issued. Please monitor FedBizOpps for release of the solicitation. Printed copies of the solicitation may be requested from the Contracting Officer. All responsible sources may respond to the solicitation by submitting a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. See Notes 12 and 26.
