Description

Description: Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements (SABER). The acquisition is for a broad range of maintenance, repair, and minor construction work on real property at Robins AFB. The work is required in support of Base Civil Engineer (BCE) activities. The contract will be an indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type and will include a wide variety of construction tasks as identified in the RS MEANS Facilities Construction Cost Data book . During the contract period, the BCE will identify construction tasks required to complete each specific job, and the Contracting Officer will issue individual delivery orders to the contractor to complete those jobs. The contractor will be required to furnish all materials, equipment, and personnel necessary to manage and accomplish the work. The guaranteed contract minimum is $25,000.00, which will be satisfied with issuing the first delivery order simultaneously with the basic contract. The contract maximum is $50,000,000.00, ($10,000,000 per year for the base year and four option years). Delivery orders will range from $2,000 - $500,000. Offerors are advised that past and present performance proposals will be required. Only one award will be made as a result of this solicitation. Submissions in response to this Request For Proposal will be evaluated in accordance with FAR 15.101-1, Price/Past Performance Tradeoff (PPT). THIS ACQUISITION IS RESTRICTED TO 8 (a) CERTIFIED CONSTRUCTION FIRMS LOCATED WITHIN THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA SERVICED BY THE U.S. SMALL BUSINESS ADMINSITRATION WITHIN REGION IV AND OTHER CONSTRUCTION FIRMS HAVING A BONA FIDE BRANCH OFFICE LOCATED WITHIN THE GEOGRAPHICAL BOUNDARIES OF THE RELEVANT COMPETITIVE AREAS. ALL OTHER FIRMS ARE DEEMED INELIGIBLE TO SUBMIT OFFERS. The Official Copy of the solicitation will not be provided on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) or paper and can only be accessed on the WEB Site: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The period of performance for this project is 365 calendar days from the date of NTP. The approximate issue date will be 10 Jan 05 with the approximate response date of 9 Feb 05. North American Industry Classification Systme (NAICS) Code: 236220. This is not a Request for Proposals. All prospective bidders/offerors are encouraged to register for each individual solicitation to be added to the electronic source list. The government is not responsible to notifying potential offerors of changes to the solicitation.
