Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into negotiations on a sole source basis with Northrop Grumman Corporation, Rolling Meadows, IL to procure one Electro-Optical Console (EO3), P/N 2054AS800-2001 for the Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) Program in support of the emerging F-18 ATFLIR weapon system. The Contractor will be required to fabricate and assemble one EO+ console, P/N 2055AS300-604, and incorporate into it an EO3 modification kit, provided as Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), to produce an EO3 console. Additionally, the Contractor will be required to integrate the EO3 console with one CASS station, P/N 2054AS400-01, also provided as GFE in performance of this contract and to perform acceptance test and delivery. The period of performance will be approximately one year from the award date. The Government does not own sufficient data, drawings, software code or other specifications to permit full and open competition. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Navy anticipates the award to be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract.
