Description
The Contracts Department of Fleet and Industrial Supply Center San Diego (FISCSD) is undertaking a procurement effort on behalf of The South West Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) San Diego. This effort is in response to a Sources Sought Notice, which was posted by SWRMC in Federal Business Opportunities on 21 April 2004. The Sources Sought Notice advised that for planning purposes, SWRMC was seeking information on the possibilities of an 8(a) business concern that could provide them with engineering/technical support services. The applicable NAICS Code for this acquisition is 541330. This Sources Sought Notice provided a solicitation number (SWRMC N6279104R0032). This solicitation is now superceded by FISC Solicitation N00244-05-R-0010 for the acquisition of engineering, technical, training, installation, repair, and program support along with personnel, tooling, and necessary facilities to perform troubleshooting and failure mode analysis, logistics support, fl! eet support, industrial and installation support. The scope of work includes assisting forces afloat and authorized Government agencies with the following tasks: a) Assessment and maintenance of shipboard systems and equipment; b) Training in maintenance/overhaul processes as the identification, compilation, and production of measures or effectiveness; c) Engineering, reverse engineering, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of shipboard equipment; d) Data analysis and reliability analysis; e) Program support for various SWRMC programs such as Combat Systems Readiness Reviews (C5RA), Ship Engineering Maintenance Assistance Team (SEMAT), and other current and future programs; f) Support for system or equipment grooms, on the job training, formal classroom training, on board maintenance training, feedback for training modules or curricula, and assistance in functional system or equipment modifications, alterations, and overhauls. Majority of work will be accomplished in! San Diego, California, however the contract will include requirements in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and in Japan. This procurement action is a total 8(a) set aside. THE SOLICITATION WIL BE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD OFF OF THE NECO WEB SITE ON/AFTER 3 DECEMBER 2004.
