Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the title "Identification of Significant Nuclear Criticality Safety Issues Associated with Processing Uranium Enriched up to Ten Weight Percent" This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The period of Performance shall be for 8 months from the date of award of this project. This proposed procurement is open to both small and large businesses size standards. Sealed offers for furnishing the services in the schedule are due at 3:00 p.m., Washington, DC, local time on January 4, 2005. Offers sent through the U.S. Mail (including U.S. Postal Service Express Next Day Service - Post Office to Addressee) must be addressed to: U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Attn: Jeffrey R. Mitchell, Mail Stop T7-I2, 11555 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852. All hand-carried offers including those delivered by private delivery services (e.g., Federal Express and Airborne Express) must be delivered to the loading dock security station located at 11555 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852 and received in the depository located in Room T7-I2. All offerors should allow extra time for internal mail distribution. NRC is a secure facility with perimeter access-control and NRC personnel are only available to receive hand-carried offers during normal working hours, 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday though Friday, excluding Federal Holidays. Responses to Offerors questions will be posted within a week from December 20, 2004.
