Description

The USDA, ARS, U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (MARC) has a requirement for on-site services to provide an estimated 35,000 gallons of propane fuel by metered vehicles to various locations at the Clay Center, Nebraska facility. Contractor shall also provide and maintain propane storage tanks (approximately as follows: 93 tanks; 38 125 gallon; 38 250 gallon; 16 500 gallon; one 1,000). Propane is used for heating livestock facilities and water tanks throughout the 35,000 acre facility. The period of performance is for a base year starting on the date of award through 12 consecutive months, and two additional one year option periods. Annual Usage: The quantity is estimated and can vary significantly from year to year depending on weather conditions. Actual usage has been as follows: FY 2004 38,622 gallons and FY 2003 39,193 gallons. Delivery shall be made Monday through Friday excluding Federal Holidays at the various sites within the consignee?s premises between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. This acquisition is being conducted using commercial items best value procedures. Evaluation criteria in no order of preference are price, quality of parts and service, and past performance. This is a 100% set-aside for small business.
