Description

The Government intends to negotiate a commercial item (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with International Remote Imaging Systems, Inc., under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, for consumables and reagents for the Yellow IRIS Analyzer. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-25. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition is being prepared in support of this acquisition. The Government intends to award a firm - fixed price contract for a base year, with the Government's option to exercise four (4), one (1) year option periods. Deliveries of the consumables and reagents are for the VA Greater Los Angeles and VA Long Beach Healthcare Systems. The solicitation is to be issued on or about December 10, 2004, with offers due on or about December 17, 2004. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. NAICS #339111.
