Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented, with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. For solicitation number RFP 667-26-05, award will be made using the simplified acquisition procedures part 15. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-25. This acquisition is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Government-wide number note 1. The North American Industry Classification System # 621512 and the small business size standard is $11.5 million. The acquisition is for MRI Services for the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, 510 East Stoner Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71101-4295. Complete MRI services are to be provided on-site for one year from dated of award with four one-year options, pending availability of funds. Attached is the solicitation that further explains the services to be performed. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions of Offeror--Commercial Items (Jan 2004) and any addenda applies to this acquisition. There is an addenda to these provisions. AWARD: Except when it is determined in accordance with FAR 17.206(b) not to be in the Government's best interests, the Government may evaluate offers for award based on the Medicare rates at the time of the evaluation and other factors. Evaluation of options will not obligate the Government to exercise the option(s). Award may not necessarily be made to the offeror submitting the lowest price. Award may be made without discussions. Contract may be awarded to one or more vendors. Award may be made on the basis of professional or technical or both. If both professional and technical are to be provided, only one contractor can bill for the services performed.
