Description

The work consists of constructing a flotation channel adjacent or perpendicular to the shoreline for access to each repair area. There are five (5) areas to receive a 85-foot wide rock weir system. The existing rock filled gabion baskets shall be rem oved. Each area shall be excavated to receive a 24-inch thick layer of armor stone with geotextile separator. All excavated material from the flotation channel and construction shall be stockpiled and reused as backfill of the flotation channel. All clear ed vegetation shall be removed from site along with demolished wire basket debris. Rock fill from gabion baskets shall be salvaged and reused as bedding material within the weir design and all incidental work thereto. Estimated value of this work is betwe en $250,000 to $500,000. NAICS 237990. 100% HUBZONE SET-ASIDE. The solicitation will issue on or about 17 December 2004, Bid Opening will be 17 January at 2:00 PM. Plans and Specifications are available to download from the WEB ONLY!!!!! There will be no hard, paper copies or CD available. YOU WILL ALSO BE REQUIRED TO REGISTER SHOWING THAT YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED THE PACKAGE. THIS WILL ALLOW US TO NOTIFY INTERESTED PARTI ES IN THE EVENT THAT AN AMENDMENT IS ISSUED.
