Description

Vicksburg Consolidated Contracts Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Flir Systems, Inc, 16 Esquire Road, North Billerica, MA 01862. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition P rocedures (SAP)  only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Flir Systems, Inc. is the only known source capable of meeting the Governments requirements of compatibility. The Government intends to acqu ire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:00 CST on 10 December 2004. Such capabilities/qualific ations will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determing whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon response s to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent. Interested parties may submit any information for considerati on by the Government to Becky.A.Harsha@mvk02.usace.army.mil with solicitation number referenced in the subject line.
