- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) laboratory facility in Morgantown, WV has the following TSI instruments which require an annual maintenance agreement (Award date to 10/31/2005: Model 8130 AFT, S/N 125; Model 8130 AFT, S/N 254; Model 3071A Classifier, S/N 441; Model 3022A CDC, S/N 320; Model 3080 classifier, S/N 8268; Model 3025A CNC, S/N 1353; Model 3160 FEFT, S/N 126. TSI controls copyrights, patent rights, trade secrets, technical data and proprietary information such as schematic diagrams and calibration data which are essential for troubleshooting and repair of these instruments. The service agreement would cover one routine maintenance trip and the cost of all replacement parts and the instruments may require parts at the time of service that can only be supplied by TSI, Incorporated. It is the governments intent to award the annual maintenance agreement for these instruments to TSI, Incorporated, the original equipment manufacturer. If there are organizations who believe they can maintain the listed equipment, they may respond within 10 days after publication of this notice indicating their maintenance experience on TSI equipment and 3 references. Responses shall be submitted to: Kimberly P. Groves (MS-1019), Reference: 000HCCA9-2005-15583, DHHS, PHS, CDC, NIOSH, ALOSH, 1095 Willowdale Road, Morgantown, WV 26505. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000. The intent of this synopsis is to determine if alternate sources exist, therefore, no solicitation is available. This notice is issued for informational purposes only.
