Description

This project shall reconstruct existing space to provide for a ten bed residential treatment program that will offer a full line of services, programming and residential on-site housing. The design shall include identifying or providing patient rooms, male and female bathrooms, a leisure room for after program hours activities, a group meeting room, a kitchenette, a laundry room and spaces for offices. At a minimum, existing Fargo VAMC rooms 4049 through 4057 and 4084a through 4086 shall be considered for renovation under this project. Renovation of the mental health Wing 4B nurse station for safety shall include remodeling the nurse station (4045) and other adjacent rooms as determined to be necessary during the design process. The project will also provide for aesthetic improvements that shall at a minimum include the replacement of corridor finishes. Additional A/E contract requirements, meeting requirements, design submission requirements, design review requirements, construction period services, A/E construction cost estimate requirements and other contract requirements shall be determined after selection of an A/E design firm, but prior to design fee negotiations. Design Duration: 150 days A/E design firms and personnel directly involved with the project design and construction period services shall be physically located within 100 miles of the Fargo VAM&ROC. SF330 Architect/Engineer Qualifications required.
