Description
Desc. The SIC 8711 and the FSC of R425 applies. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division, Combat Systems Engineering and Integration Branch (NSWC PHD Codes S15/S20/S22) has a requirement for engineering resource for assisting in planning and coordinating the installation and testing of as well as resolution of issues relating to Combat System Ship Platform Integration in aircraft carriers, L-Class ships and other strike group units. Evaluate design concepts and develop concepts in combat system architecture, conduct studies of combat system design and feasibility of implementation. Plan and coordinate the installation of combat system and C4I equipment in aircraft carriers, L-Class ships and other strike group units undergoing repair, test the interoperability of strike group systems, and generate associated. This requirement to supports the Program Executive Officer, Carriers (PMS312/PMS378), Program Executive Officer, Ships (PMS470), the Naval Sea Systems Command (SEA 06/62), and the Program Executive Officer, Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) as the In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA), and work will be performed in Washington, DC; Crystal City, VA; Norfolk, VA; San Diego, CA; Bremerton, WA; Bangor, WA; Kings Bay, GA; Groton, CT; Port Hueneme, CA; Everett, WA; Mayport FL; Newport News, VA; Pascagoula, MS; Little Creek, VA; Pearl Harbor, HI; Yokosuka JA; and such other locations as contained in individual task orders. The proposed contract will have a base year with four (4) one year options. The level of effort is estimated at 90,944 man-hours per year. The anticipated award date is 01 March 2005. The type of contract will be a Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity. Current U.S. SECRET and appropriate facility clearance are required. The competition is limited to 8(a) firms certified for participation in the 8(a) Program. Anticipated release date for this solicitation will be 10 December 2004.
