Description

Notice of intent to award a sole source procurement under FAR Part 12.203 to Data Security Incorporated to provide one (1) HD-3000 Degausser (#905-0001) and accessories. This degausser is the only item that has been approved by the National Security Administration and meets necessary minimum specifications. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 (a) (2) the Government will negotiate directly with Data Security Incorporated. The contract action is for supplies for which the Government solicited from only one source, Data Security Inc., under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. This notice is for information only. It is neither a request for proposals nor a soliciation for offers. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 335999 with a size standard of 500 employees. All inquiries and concerns must be addressed in writing to 90 CONS/LGCB, ATTN: Chuck Crews, 7505 Marne Loop, F. E. Warren AFB, WY 82005 or sent by email to charles.crews@warren.af.mil. Responses to this notice must be submitted within 5 days after this electronic posting. Interested sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. Response to this synopsis is not required.
