DESC: 1240 01 480 0292, Part Number 12984673, The item to procure is a M90A3 TELESCOPE, FIRE CONTROL, CONSISTING OF A TELESCOPE THAT IS A LIGHTWEIGHT, HERMETICALLY SEALED, 3 POWER, FIXED-FOCUS OPTICAL INSTRUMENT EQUIPPED WITH A BALLISTIC TYPE RETICLE . THE TELESCOPE CAN BE QUICKLY INSERTED AND REMOVED FROM THE M186 TELESCOPE MOUNT, WHICH IS MOUNTED ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE M119A2 HOWITZER. A LIGHTING KIT PROVIDES RETICLE ILLUMINATION FOR NIGHT OPERATION. THE DEVICE IS APPROXIMATELY ONE POUND IN WEIGH T, APPROXIMATELY 2 ? INCHES IN DIAMETER, 6 ? CASTING WITH ASSEMBLED MACHINE PARTS. SEVERAL LENSES, WINDOWS, A RETICLE AND TWO PORRO-PRISMS ARE USED IN THE OPTICAL TRAIN. Requirements are 212 TO 450 each, M90A3 TELESCOPE, FIRE CONTROL. FOB is Destination . For use on the M119 HOWITZER. Estimated issue date is 01/04/05. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided.
