Description

The Alaska District Corps of Engineers intends to specify proprietary and/or sole source equipment/system for the Fire Alarm System of the Barracks and Battalion Operation Facility (FTW276), Ft Wainwright, Alaska(FWA). The FWA Fire Alarm System is a proprietary supervising station system (as defined in NFPA 3.367.6 2002 edition) that utilizes a networked Honeywell W7053 as the supervising station control unit. All fire alarm panels installed on FWA shall (see NFPA 72 3.2.6) be Listed (as defined in MF PA 72 3.2.5) for use with this station control unit. UL category UOJZ provides listings for fire alarm electrical control units. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement in the form of a letter and standar d marketing material describing how the equipment/system is comparable with the installed supervising station control unit. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all submittals received within 45 days after the date of publicatio n will be considered by the Government. A determination by the government not to compete the equipment/system requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considere d solely for the purpose of determining whether to compete the requirement. See Numbered Note 22.
