- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center, Lakehurst, NJ intends to procure one (1) to two (2) High Pressure Reciprocating Air Compressor systems that shall be a vendors standard model which includes the following capability and features: Minimum air flow capacity: 22.8 SCFM, Max design working pressure: 5000 psig. typical line operating pressure: 1500-2000 psig, ambient inlet temp: +40 degrees F. min to 110 degrees F. max, "Nonregenerative dryer required": outlet pressure dewpoint: - 15 degrees F max at design pressure, moisture monitoring system required, intake air filter, oil coalescing prefilter and particulate postfilter required, application service requires continuous duty, automatic start-stop controls shall be provided with field adjustable high-low pressure settings, reciprocating compressor internals shall be pressure lubricated, automatic start-stop controls shall be provided with field adjustable high-low pressure settings, reciprocating compressor internals shall be pressure lubricated, automatic condensate drain and interstage separator system w/receiver required, low oil pressure and high temperature safety switches shall be provided, forced air intercoolers and after coolers shall be supplied, operation hour meter shall be provided, pressure gauges provided for each stage, safety relief valves factory calibrated, stamped with set pressure and dated, electrical enclosures to be NEMA 4, electrical connection to be 460 volt, 3 phase, 60 cycle (see application 4), all components to be panel or skid mounted by vendor, desiccant shall be provided with initial equipment delivery, operator manual shall be provided which includes system description, operation, troubleshooting and diagnostics guide, electrical schematics and preventative maintenance, system drawing with equipment material list shall be provided. Other application notes: 1. Compressors will not be used for a shipboard application. 2. Dryers will not be used to process breathing air 3 Occasionally the facility HP air system will be blown down to zero pressure and recharged. If the vendor's standard dryer requires a minimum constant pressure for proper operation during the facility recharge, the vendor will need to incorporate backpressure regulating valves or some other pressure maintaining valves as part of their delivered skid mounted system. 4. The vendor will provide a motor starter and thermal overload device, which complies with National Electric Code Requirements. 5. Installation will be accomplished by the Navy. The vendor will include supervision, training and oversight for initial system checkout and startup.
