Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice of intent to conduct a commercial item acquisition. The Solicitation, Evaluation, and Award procedures of FAR Part 13.106-1, 13.106-2 and 13.106-3 are being used. The United States Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement to purchase the following items: Fire Suppression System, intermediate pressure, single fluid atomization, fabricated modular skid assembly, Brand Name: Chemetron Fire Systems or Equal. Estimated quantity is 2 per year, except option year 2 when the estimated quantity is 4 per year. Item being purchased hereunder shall be provided with Commerical Data for Provisioning and Piping Size Calculations (Base Year only)and Commercial Warranties for base year and option years if exersized. This acquisition is being conducted on a Brand Name or Equal basis. A requirements contract will be awarded as a result of this competition. The award will provide for a base and four one-year options. The estimated quantities per year estimates only and the estimates are subject to change. The details of the salients will be included in RFQ HSCG40-05-Q-40327. A complete description of the contract line items and times of delivery will be included in the RFQ. Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination. All responsible sources for the Brand Name or equal items are invited to submit a quotation/proposal, which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. All technical data required to respond to the solicitation will be furnished as part of the RFQ. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. A solicitation is forth coming and will be released on or about 12 November 2004. It is the offerors responsibility to monitor the EPS System for changes or amendments.
