Description: The US Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service in Pullman will be ordering 2600 tissue samples from CWD infected and uninfected deer through the State of Wisconsin Bureau of Wildlife Management. Studies include genetic predisposition to CWD. Alternate sources were considered from the Bureau of Wildlife Management in Colorado and Wyoming. The control of the collection of tissue samples is regulated by the three states above and the collection of samples is only allowed to be performed by State Bureau of Wildlife Management so no other sources exist to satisfy our requirement.
