The US Army Aviation and Missile Command intends to establish a firm fixed contract with estimated quantity ranges for three-year requirements in support of the CH-47 Airframe/Power Train Unit for the following NSNs(s), P/N(s) and Nouns: NSN 16 15-01-315-4071, P/N 145D2300-7, Noun: Mech Transmission (Aft), Estimated Qty 150; NSN 1615-01-317-6446, P/N 145D1300-9, Noun: Mech Transmission (Fwd), Estimated Qty 150; NSN 1615-01-391-4399, P/N 145R2004-20, Noun: Head Rotary Aft, Estimated Qty 150; NSN 1615-01-464-3974, P/N 145D5300-20, Noun: Mech Xmsn (Combiner), Estimated Qty 150; NSN 1615-01-287-5319 (SubNSNs 1615-01-464-7113/Part Number 145D6300-14 and 1615-01-464-5563, Part Number 145D6300-15), Noun: Engine Transmission, Estimated Qty 150. FOB Ori gin. These items are restricted to The Boeing Company, Boeing Helicopter, CAGE Code: 77272. These parts require engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, e ngineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically availabl e to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. Adequate technical data is not available for this acquisition. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Fi rms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/ and l ooking under CAPSAR and Policy Relating to Source Approval Request (SAR) for Aviation Requirements. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the Agency. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted de pendent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above.
