Description
PLEASE READ ENTIRE ANNOUNCEMENT FOR CORRECT POINTS OF CONTACT. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR 12.6). This notice is released to announce a U.S. ARMY Corps of Engineers District, Mobile requirement for a Grounds Maintenance service contract. The work to be performed under this contract will be for the Southeast Regional Medical Command Facility, Buildings 38801/02, 40th Street, Fort Gordon, Georgia. It will i nclude grass mowing, edging all sidewalks, equipment pads and planting beds and removal and disposal of debris, leaves, branches, pine cones and clippings. The Request for Proposal is for a firm-fixed price service contract to be competed under solicitatio n W91278-05-T-0007. The basic contract is estimated to commence on 01 January 2005 through 31 December 2005 with four one-year option performance periods. A site visit is highly recommended. This action is set aside 100% for Small Business concerns under N AICS code 561730, size standard $6 million. Bid documents are available on or about 08 December 2004 on the Internet at http://www.sam.usace.army.mil with a bid opening date of 23 December 2004. Mrs. Jacalyn M. Jenkins, 251-441-5598 (fax 251-690-2675) may answer specific questions related to this solicitation. Ms. Kris L. Brock is Contracting Officer. There is no cost for this solicitation. NOTE: Bidders must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) which is required by Federal Regulatio ns (See FAR 52.204-7004), therefore you must be CCR registered to be awarded this project and payment from any DOD activity. Information on registration may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Registration requi res applicants to have a DUNS number from Dun & Bradstreet. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge/Plan Rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet. Registr ation instructions are available on the Internet at http://www.sam.usace.army.mil and then click on contract bids. Neither telephonic, mailed, nor fax requests will be accepted. Those registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the m ailing list. Registration must include the firm's physical address, telephone, a valid fax number and a point of contact. Registration should be completed one week prior to the issue date. All notifications of changes to this solicitation shall be made thr ough the Internet only. It is therefore the contractors' responsibility to check the Internet address listed above daily for any posted changes to this solicitation. Actual solicitation amendments will be issued either by fax or by posting for download to the aforementioned web page. The plans and specifications will be issued on the Internet only and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed-paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest. For this job, a small business is defined as having average annual receipts of less than $6,000,000.00 for the past three years.
