- Description
- The Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center is seeking sources and information for a market survey being conducted for a Colorized Night Vision Device (NVD). The desired system shall provide intensified low-light color discrimination in a configuration that can be mounted to the Modular Integrated Communications Helmet (MICH) and can be used as a hand held device and can simultaneously be viewed through both the left and right eyes of the operator. A video based system is desired, but not required. Respondees, at a minimum, should respond with the following data: System ? Field of View (FOV), Resolution (cy/mr), Magnification, Weight (both with and w/o accompanying mount), Battery (Type, Qty required, and afforded runtime), Operating Temperature, Adjustments (manual gain control, focus, ect.), Number of system optical channels, sample imagery, test data, test results, and a brief description of the operational theory of the system. Provide discussion regarding the low-light performance of the system compared to a standard GEN III NVD. Projected lead-time for deliveries and system ROM cost in QTYs from 1 to 100. All proprietary information will be treated appropriately.
