Description
INTERNATIONAL SENIOR BUDGET ADVISOR The U.S. Department of the Treasury?s Office of Technical Assistance is recruiting an individual on a competitive basis to serve as Senior Budget Advisor for the Budget Policy and Management Program. You will be hired under a Personal Services Contract (PSC). This assignment will be located in Washington, D.C., although significant international travel will be required. QUALIFICATIONS: To receive consideration, candidates must: (1) demonstrate a clear understanding of Budget practice, objectives, (2) possess technical expertise and international experience to render assistance to resident and intermittent Budget advisors on complex projects, (3) have experience in evaluating international programs and advisors for effectiveness and efficiency, (4) be an advocate for change that will ensure the delivery of professional and responsive customer service, (5) be experienced in improving existing international advisory services and developing new ones, and (6) have considerable experience interacting with high-level officials in ministries of economy and finance, similar governmental organizations, and have experience with the US federal budget process including the operations of Congress and the Office of Management and Budget. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and must qualify for a Secret security clearance. SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salary will be negotiated in accordance with program regulations based on demonstrated salary history. Expected compensation currently ranges from $85,000 to $145,600, subject to January 1, 2005, cost of living adjustments (COLA).
