Description

The United States Coast Guard, Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific, Alameda, CA, proposes to contract the dockside repairs of USCGC HAMILTON (WHEC 715), a 378? high endurance cutter, homeported in San Diego, CA. All work shall be at the cutter?s facility during the period of 19 April 2005 through 10 June 2005. Work items to include: production control, Gantt Bar Chart provide, galley bulkhead repair, scullery bulkhead repair, transverse bulkhead repair, tanks (MP fuel stowage) clean and inspect, tanks (aviation fuel stowage) clean and inspect, AFT gear locker deck renewal, MGT deck plating renewal, renew manhole cover, auxiliary salt water pump replacement, SSDG salt water pump replacement, electrical breakers (60 hz) inspect & test, inspect & test circuit breakers, 400 hz, vent ducts (engine and motor room) commercial cleaning, vent ducts (galley and pantry) commercial cleaning, vent fans and motors, critical >5 HP overhaul, ventilation valve replacement, magazine sprinkler valve <2.5? renewal, magazine sprinkler valves, .=2.5?, overhaul, evaporator pump replacement, evaporators (general) overhaul, potable water pneumatic tank relief valves renew, potable water pneumatics, clean, inspect and hydro, steam relief valve overhaul, compressed air reserves (all) clean, inspect and hydro, unrep weight handling fitting inspect & test, commissary hoist (Gen) Level 2 inspect and repair, anchor windlass (gen) level 2 inspect and repair, anchor windlass (gen) level 2 inspect and repair, warping capstan (gen) level 2 inspect and repair, grey water holding tank inspect & clean, sewage vacuum collection and sealwater tanks clean & inspect, decks (all exterior) preserve, general, deck coverings (interior polymeric) reseal, temporary services, dockside, home pier, fire watches. On or about 15 days from issuance of this notice, an Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued. This procurement will be a Total HUB-ZONE Set-aside. Potential offerors are advised that the solicitation and other notifications can also be accessed on the web site: www.eps.gov. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 336611 with a size standard of less than 1,000 employees. To access and download Coast Guard Ship repair availability specifications, offerors are required to have registered at www.FedTeds.gov (CCR and DUNS number or CAGE code required). Offerors are encouraged to register immediately as authorization to access the documents may take up to 48 hours from the time of registration. Offerors are advised that once registered in FedTeds, access to the synopsis, solicitation, specification and other notification is via www.fedbizopps.gov, vendor DHS (Direct Reports).
