Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for conference services for the Biometric Consortium Conference to be held in Arlington, VA on September 18-21, 2005. Market research has indicated that the Hyatt Regency is the only hotel in the location required with the space available on the dates required. It is the intent of the Government to negotiate with the HYatt Regency in Arlington, VA in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), as the only source available to satisfy the needs of the agency. It was determined through competitive procedures that the Hyatt Regency Crystal City Hotel in Arlingtin, is the only vendor in the required area with enough space on the dates needed. The Government shall award a fixed-price purchase order on or about December 16, 2004 to the Hyatt Regency for meeting space, food services, and audiovisual equipment. FAR clauses and provisions referenced in this announcment may be downloaded from http://www.arnet.gov/far. This procurement is authorized by Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13.5-Simplified Acquisition Procedures Test Program. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses from this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. A request for Quotations (RFQ) is not availble.
