Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to determine the capability of potential sources and the availability of commercial sources pursuant to FAR Part 10. The contractor will provide medical epidemiology consultation services for the Office of Health Programs (OHP) in the Aberdeen Area Indian Health Service. The Aberdeen Area IHS requires contractor support to provide medical epidemiology consultation services in the Area Office and various service unit locations. The purpose of the work is to identify causative agents or conditions resulting in adverse health effects, provide data and information concerning corrective actions or programs to alleviate adverse health effects, and propose practices or policies based on findings that will preserve or promote public health in the Aberdeen Area. The Contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, supplies, materials, and equipment to provide medical epidemiology consultation services to the Office of Health Program in the Aberdeen Area Office. POTENTIAL SOURCES MUST SUBMIT CAPABILITY STATEMENTS, WHICH DEMONSTRATE THEIR QUALIFICATIONS AND CAPABILITY TO PROVIDE THESE SERVICES. The capability statement must address the respondents: 1) Experience in providing training and technical assistance to federal, state, and tribal entities on epidemiological activities; 2) Knowledge of the environment in which disease control programs are undertaken at the federal, state and tribal levels; 3) Knowledge and understanding of the health problems that are prevalent to the Aberdeen Area Indian Health Service; 4) Experience in conducting workshops and in organizing and conducting conferences and conference calls; 5) Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team of professionals and provide consulting support to project staff; 6) Familiarity with the Indian Health Service and its mission; 7) Electronic capability to correspond and receive responses in the preparation of epidemiological and statistical reports and summaries. Capability statements must also include the following information: company name, address, point of contact, phone/fax/e-mail. REPONSES ARE DUE NOT LATER THAN CLOSE OF BUSINESS 5:00 P.M.
