Description
DESC: TACOM-Rock Island is seeking Small Businesses willing to enter into a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) (FAR 13.303) for a period of three (3) years, involving items in the 6650 Federal Supply Class. A sample is the Mirror, Optical Instrument: U sed on the various End Items i.e. M1 Abrams Tank, (NSN: 6650-01-079-3023) or 105MM M60 Tank. Material is Aluminum Casting Spec QQ-A-60 Alloy 771.0. Reflective backing material: any is acceptable. Heat Treat, Anodize Black. Width: 1.370 inches nominal. Leng th: 1.790 inches nominal. Thickness: 0.375 inches nominal. Features provided: Mounting attachment. FOB Destination. For use on: Various End Items i.e. M1 Abrams Tank. Requirements are not known at this time and may vary considerably. There will be no forma l solicitation for this requirement. In establishing this BPA the Government will consider new suppliers whose past performance has shown them to be dependable, who offer quality supplies or services at consistently lower prices, and who have provided numerous purchases at below the simplifie d threshold. After establishment of these BPAs the Government will continue to monitor the contractors performance. Sources that BPAs, have been established with will be given equal opportunity to quote for supplies offered under the BPA. If First Arti cle Test (FAT) is required, contractors will be asked to price the FAT separately. The quantities will be very small and sporadic. Vendors potential sources that would like to be considered for their BPAs, must provide in their statement of capabilities: (1) History of other similar parts made; (2) Statement that you are a Small Business, identify if designated as a 8(A) or Hub Zone entities (3) This notice is for information and planning purposes and the Government reserves the right to set aside any and all procurements that may result hereunder for Small or Minority owned businesses. Your response indicating interest in these BPAs, along with required statements discussed above are due to the contracting office Jose Oliva, FAX (309) 782-0717 by 30 Dec 2004.
