Description
PLEASE READ ENTIRE ANNOUNCEMENT FOR CORRECT POINTS OF CONTACT FOR THIS PROJECT. THIS PROJECT IS ADVERTISED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS PURSUANT TO THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM.This project consists of the renourishment of the Bay County beaches which were damaged as a result of the recent hurricanes. The quantity of beach fill required is estimated to be approximately 8,000,000 cubic yards. The length of beach to be renourished is estimated at 17.5 miles. The borrow areas are estimated to be between 0.25 and 2.0 miles offshore the project site. Detailed project technical specifications will be provided in the solicitation. COAST GUARD CERTIFICATION OF VESSELS REQUIRED. ALL RESPONSIBLE BIDDERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237990. Estimated cost range of the project is from $10,000,000 to $25,000,000. S olicitation documents should be available on or around 18 Jan 2005. Mr. Leo J. The p urpose of the conference is to familiarize the bidders with the scope of work and participate in a site visit to become familiar with the existing site conditions. Failure to do so shall not relieve offerors from responsibility for estimating properly the difficulty or cost of successfully performing the work. The Government shall assume no responsibility for any understand ing or representations concerning conditions made by any of its officers or agents prior to the execution of the contract, unless included in the Request For Proposals, the specifications, or related documents.
