Description
The USACE Fort Mifflin Project Office intends to initiate a Request for Quote to acquire Plate Steel Shore Discharge Pipe. This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12 and 13, as supplemented with add itional information included in this notice. The requirement is for the procurement of 338 Sections of Shore Discharge Piping, 16ft by 8 inches in length and 30 inches in diameter for Ft. Mifflin Disposal Area and the C&D Canal in accordance with the term s and conditions of Request for Quote number W912BU-05-R-0008. Solicitation will be issued on or about 16 December 2004 with quote due on or about 07 Jan 2004. Each pipe shall be steel, 3/8 inches thick, 30 inches I.D. (nominal) Diameter, 16 feet and 8 inches in length in accordance with drawing No. PM21023-A. The procurement will be a split delivery; 138 quantity will be delivered to the Chesapeake and Delaware Project office, and 200 quantity will be delivered to Fort Mifflin Project Office. The Gove rnment will provide directions to site. The contractor will be required to provide the Shore Discharge Pipe within 45 calendar days after receipt of award. Quotes shall include the fabrication of the pipe and delivery. Contractors must register on the I nternet and download the solicitation package and all amendments from the following address: https://ebs.nap.usace.army.mil on or after the issue date of the solicitation. If any information changes during the advertisement period, contractors are respons ible to make changes to their user profile on the Internet. Failure to make changes in their user profile may cause a delay in receiving notice of the solicitation or any amendments. Offerors are responsible for printing paper copies of the solicitation and any amendments. Hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. All contractors are required to be registered in the DODs Central Contract Register (CCR) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300. Also, contractors who receive a federal contract of $25,000.00 or more are required by legislation to submit an annual VETS-100 Re port on your employment of targeted veterans.
