- The Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest has a requirement for unknown quantities of various types of aggregate. The estimated types of aggregate are: surge stone, class III rip-rap, crusher run, Georgia DOT GAB, #4 stone and #57 stone, and spec 4 stone. The stone is to be hauled and tailgate spread along various National Forest roads within the boundaries of Chattahoochee National Forest. For ease of cost estimating the Forest is divided into 3 zones. Zone one covers the Armuchee-Cohutta Ranger District comprising Chattooga, Floyd, Walker, Whitfield, Gordon, Murry, Fannin, Gilmer Counties Georgia. Zone two covers the Brasstown-Toccoa Ranger Districts comprising, Fannin, Gilmer, Lumpkin and Union Counties Georgia Zone three covers the Chattooga ? Tallulah Ranger Districts comprising, Lumpkin, White, Towns, Habersham, Rabun, and Stephens Counties Georgia. Stone must come from GA DOT certified quarry. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation identified as RFQ SAZ-03-05-10 is issued as a Request for Quotations. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and no written solicitation will be issued. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: Please state, based on the Zone where the material will be delivered, your price per ton for the following items delivered for the following Items: Line Item 01 -- surge stone, hauled and tailgate spread. Line Item 02-- GAB stone, hauled and tailgate spread. Line Item 03-- #4 stone, hauled and tailgate spread. Line Item 04-- #57 stone, hauled and tailgate spread. Line Item 05?Spec 4 stone, hauled and tailgate spread. Line Item 06 ----- crusher run stone, hauled and tailgate spread. Line Item 07?Class III rip-rap, (20% of the stone weighs 100 ? 150 pounds, 30% weighs 50 ? 100 pounds, 40% weighs 5 ? 50 pounds, and 10% weighs 0-5 pounds) hauled and dumped. DELIVERY: Deliveries are to be made beginning upon award and no orders will be placed later than December 31, 2005 Exact directions to project locations to be given after award with each delivery order. SUBMIT OFFERS: on company letterhead or form, no later than close of business December 27, 2004, to Contracting Division, Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest, 1755 Cleveland Hwy., Gainesville, GA 30501. Quotes may be FAXed to 770-297-3031. Provide quote by zone by line item per ton with haul and spread included in price. Quotes must indicate quarry source and include a completed copy of clause 52.212-3 Representations and Certifications. Quotes will be evaluated on price and capability of the item to meet the agency need. An Indefinite Quantity, Indefinite Delivery contract will be awarded from this solicitation. Orders will be placed as needed throughout the contract period (Award date through December 31, 2005). More than one award may result from this solicitation with a minimum guaranteed purchase of $5000 to each awardee. No more than $500,000 will be paid to a single awardee. Delivery orders will be evaluated on (1) price and (2) availability at time of need.
