Description: CECOM Acquisition Center intends to enter into a sole source modification of contract W15P7T-04-C-K413 with General Atomics, Lynx Systems Division, San Diego, CA for additional Lynx II AN/DPY-1 Synthetic Aperture Radar/Ground Moving Target Indicator (SAR/GMTI) payloads. The modification will support the Extended Range/Multi-Purpose (ER/MP) Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) program requirements for a SAR/GMTI payload. Contract Number W15P7T-04-C-K413 was competitively awarded on 20 November 2003, for a Syst em Development and Demonstration (SDD) effort for six SAR/GMTI systems for the FCS Class IVa UAV. The ER/MP UAV development program requires integration of the SAR/GMTI radar onto a UAV platform as an essential payload beginning in December 2005. The ER/ MP UAV development program requires ten (10) additional SAR/GMTI payloads in FY06 to support its integration and test program.
