Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) has a requirement for Sodium Lauryl Sulfate suitable for use as an ingredient in a water-based wiping solution for currency printing presses at the BEP's Washington, D.C. facility. The BEP's specification requirement for the sodium lauryl sulfate is between 28.0 and 31.0 percent by weight and is identified as BEP Stock No. 2A001142 when delivered in bulk (tank truck) and 2A01142A when delivered in composite intermediate bulk containers (330 gallon totes). This acquisition will be a Fixed-Price, Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple-Award Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). This is a 100% set-aside for small business. A BPA will be established with the two (2) lowest price, technically acceptable offerors for a base year of 12 months and four 12-month option periods. Individual orders will be competed between the two awardees approximately every 3 months. The NAICS code for this requirement is 325188 with a corresponding size standard of 1000 employees. The RFQ and any applicable attachments will be published on the General Service Administration (GSA) Electronic Posting System (EPS) at the following internet address: www.eps.gov on or about January 4, 2005. Hard copies of the RFQ will not be mailed. Prospective offerors that would like to be notified electronically of the issuance date of the RFQ and/or amendments should register at www.eps.gov.
