- Description
- The National Institutes of Health intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, with Siemens Building Technologies, Landis Division, 6901 Muirkirk Meadows Drive, Beltsville, Maryland 20704. The required supplies are and services are proprietary, and commercial as defined in FAR Part 2.101. The total contract value is not expected to exceed $11 million. A one year Firm Fixed Price type contract with four option years is contemplated. Siemens Building Technologies is the only known source capable of providing the required supplies and services. This action is under the authority 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1 and HHSAR 306.302-1. Interesting parties may identify the capability by responding to the requirement or submit a proposal. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals. However the Government will consider all proposals received within 15 days after publications of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Independently and not an agent of the Government, the Contractor shall furnish all labor and materials/parts as requested to provide Upgrades of building utility systems to Siemens Building Technologies Distributive Digital Control (DDC) System 600. Provide Maintenance Services, Preventative Maintenance Inspections, Technical Assistance, Emergency Services, Repairs, and hardware replacement. To include: System 600 telecommunications hardware, Modular Building Controllers (MBC), Modular Building Controllers Expansion Panel (MBC Exp), Stand-Alone Control Units (SCU), Lan Controllers, Floor Lever Network Controller (LANC & FLNC), Modular Equipment Controller (MEC), Apogee Server, Workstations, Room Differential Pressure Monitor (Dif.Press.Monitor), Information Manager and, Meters Chilled water, Compressed Air, Domestic Water and Steam, Waste Processing System and software upgrade/ revisions to Siemens Building Technologies APOGEE servers and workstations. The contractor shall provide APOGEE servers and workstations software revisions as released by Siemens Building Technologies Distributive Digital System 600. In buildings throughout the National Institutes of Health (NIH) main campus, Bethesda, MD, NIH Animal Center, Poolesville, MD, and Rockville, MD.
