Description

The US Bureau of Reclamation, Folsom, CA has a requirement to conduct outmigrant monitoring of fall-run Chinook salmon at Caswell State Park on the Stanislaus River in 2005. This objective will be accomplished under four tasks: 1. Sample the number of migrants by fishing two rotary screw traps; 2. Use mark-recapture tests to determine the capture efficiency of the traps; 3. Monitor physical factors that may influence trap efficiency; and, 4. Estimate an index of daily total passage of juvenile Chinook. A collecting permit with the AC Dept. of Fish and Game and a Section 10 Collecting permit with NOAA Fisheries to work with a federally listed species is required. All data will be collected in compliance with standards established in the Central Valley Projcet Improvement Act-Public Law 102-575 (CVPIA), Comprehensive Assessment and Monitoring Program protocol. All data will be collected on data sheets in the format used by the USFWS throughout the Central Valley. The NAICS code for this is 541710. Solicitation 05SQ240031 will be posted at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about December 28, 2004 quotes due on or before January 12, 2005. The solicitation and specification can be downloaded at the above site. Effective October 1, 2003, prospective vendors must be registered in the CCR database, http://www.ccr.gov prior to award of contract.
