Description
The Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Aviation Systems Standards, National Aeronautical Charting Office/Photographic Imaging Branch (AVN-522), has an annual requirement for the acquisition of miscellaneous large format film and chemistry supplies in support of their mission in the National Airspace System (NAS). The large format film produces negatives in support or printing both aeronautical and nautical charts. The produced products provide information to pilots for safe navigation within the NAS. National Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 325992. Based upon the requiring offices' justification for single source acquisition; previous testing for tolerance and quality of other vendor's products which had bubbles in the film and the vacuum frame will not draw down (which cause problems with the images), and previous services provided under award DTFAAC-05-P-00526, the FAA herein announces its intention to award a Blanket Purchase Order to National Graphic Supply for FY05 supply requirements at a not to exceed annual ceiling of $500,000. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: DOT, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (SADBU), has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000. For further information and applicable forms concerning STLP, call the OSDBU at (800) 532-1169. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (13-DEC-2004); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
