Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ), has a requirement for Agar Powdered USP, NF, IN IAW to support the Pink Bollworm Rearing Facility in Phoenix, Arizona. A firm fixed-price, requirements contract is anticipated for the purchase of the Agar. The effective period of the contract shall be January 28, 2005, or date of award, whichever is later, through September 30, 2005. The contract will include a base and four 1-year unilateral options to extend the effective period. The annual requirement of Agar may range from zero to 40,000 lbs. Delivery orders for agar, will be issued on an as needed basis. The solicitation, 022-M-APHIS-05, will be released on or about December 21, 2005 and will be a 100% small business set-aside, therefore, all responsible small businesses may submit an offer. After release, one may download a copy of the solicitation at this site. NOTIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE SENT TO OFFERER?S REGARDING THE ISSUANCE OF THE SOLICITATION NOR ANY OF ITS AMENDMENTS. IT IS THE OFFERER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THIS WEB SITE PERIODICALLY FOR UPDATES. The NAICS code is 325414 with a size standard of 500 employees. Proposals shall be submitted to the contracting activity by the date and time indicated in the invitation for proposal which is anticipated to be January 11, 2005. A one (1) pound bid sample shall be delivered to Phoenix, Arizona by the date and time listed in the solicitation. All proposals shall have the solicitation number placed on the front of the proposal envelope. Those firms who download the solicitation should send an e-mail to the Contract Specialist stating that they have downloaded the solicitation.
