- (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items/services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals/bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This acquisition is issued as a Request for quote (RFQ). (ii) The solicitation number is D8525005. (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-27. (iv) The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 516110. (v) The Government?s intention is to award the requirement as a sole source to Thomson Micromedex 6200 S. Syracuse Way Suite 300 Greenwood Village, CO 80111-4740, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Although this is not a request for quote, contractors are welcome to submit proposals based on the information provided below. (vi)Renewal to Thompson Micromedex Tomes Plus System DiseaseDex Emergency Medicine, and Drugdex. Includes Poisindex, Martindale and Index Nominum for 6-10 concurrent users. (vii)The period of performance is 1/1/05 ? 12/31/05. Offerors may not propose alternative delivery dates. (viii) The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items applies to this solicitation. The following agenda have been attached to this provision: None. (ix) The provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items is applicable to this solicitation. The government will award a contract to the offeror whose offer conforms to this solicitation and will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. The government reserves the right to make an award without discussions. (x) Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items. (xi) The clause at FAR 52.212-4 applies to this acquisition. The following agenda have been attached to the clause: None. (xii) The clause at FAR 52.212-5 applies to this acquisition. The following additional FAR clauses cited in this clause are applicable: FAR 52.222-3, FAR 52.222-19, FAR 52.222-21, FAR 52.222-26, FAR 52.222-35, FAR 52.222-36, FAR 52.222-37, FAR 52.225-3, FAR 52.225-13, FAR 52.225-16, FAR 52.232-33 FAR 52.222-41 FAR 52-222-42.
