Description
Cincinnati, Ohio Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center intends to sole source a comerical item acquisiton with GEHC for a modular building. The description is for a one side-by-side "Podular" entree Modular building for the GEHC 1.5 MR system which consists of two (2) 13'W x 40L GEHC Entree buildings. MR Magnet and system must be preinstalled and shipped in the fully finished relocatable buildings. Must comply with FDA validation requirements for MR use in modular environment. Must be designed site specific , Entree buildings must be fully finished, institutional code buildings and delivered within 12 weeks from receipt of order. The MR magnet system must be factory installed, fully tested and GEHC engineering certified and shipped as a fully installed MR system for quick site calibration at the site. Modular building will be permanently attached to existing structure and will not compromise the performance of GEHC design certified vibration suppression system that is utilized to deaden ambient or building harmonic interference with the magnet and MR system. Must provide site planning guide for fire rated connection to existing building and for the design of the foundation and slab. Magnetic shielding for a 1.5T magnet will be included to contain the 1, 3, and 5 Gauss magnetic fields within the scan room. The scan room must be a fully welded, non oxidizing, electrically conversion coated EMI enclosure and have a limited lifetime warranty. The Entree buildings must be a fully compliant Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. designed structures. The exterior walls must be two (2) hour UL fire rated. The roof must be a one hour UL fire rated system. The structure and roof must meet the IBC 150 MPH exposure "C" design. The building must meet all local, state and federal building codes. The buildings must be FOB destination and include transportation costs in the purchase price. Installation and Rigging services must also be included in the purchase price. For this procurement, the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423390. The size standards in number of employees is 100. The Request For Proposal issue date on or about 12/18/04. The RFP due date is 12/29/04, 2:))PM eastern standard time. SEE NOTE 22.
