- Description
- The Air Force intends to issue a solicitation for base-wide grounds maintenance at Vandenberg AFB, California, on or around 7 Jan 2005. A scheduled site visit/pre-proposal conference date will also be released at that time. The contractor shall provide all personnel equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform grounds maintenance for approximately 11,000 acres at Vandenberg Air Force Base. Services include, but are not limited to: grass mowing, landscaping, weed control, trimming, pest control, fertilizing, and providing emergency and special event services. The contractor shall perform in accordance with the standards outlined in the Statement of Work. The proposed period of performance includes a 6-month basic period from 1 Apr 2005 through 30 Sept 2005; and four (4) one-year option periods extending through 30 September 2009. Award is contemplated as 100% 8(a) set-aside. Due to an anticipated high volume of offers, this acquisition will be opened only to qualified 8(a) vendors located in the state of California. The NAICS code is 561730 and the size standard is $6 million in average annual gross receipts. Services will be procured pursuant to the requirements in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The entire solicitation will be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities website http://www.eps.gov. No paper copies will be issued. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR). A draft solicitation and Statement of Work (SOW) has been provided as part of this notice.
