Industry Question: What is the purpose of ?insertion tubes still in the engine warning systems?, and is there a desired implementation NAVAIR would prefer for this feature? Government Response: An insertion tube warning system is desired so that the borescope is not damaged if the engine is turned while the borescope is still in place. There is NO particular implementation feature preferred, however refer to the weight, size, cost and reliability considerations. 6. Industry Question: Does the US Navy desire support for specific I/O connectivity to adapt for ?new technology in the commercial market? (such as PC Card, USB, etc?)?
