Description

The Department of Homeland Security intends to award a sole-source purchase order to the Information Technology Industry Council, 1250 Eye Street, NW, Suite 200, Washington, DC 20005, for membership for one principal/voting representative of the Department of Homeland Security to the INCITS Executive Board. This purchase order will be issued to 41 United States Code 253 (c) (1) and Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1. There is no other organization, except the INCITS Executive Board, that has the forum for developers, producers, and users for the creation and maintenance of formal Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) standards. Without access to the INCITS Executive Board, the Government will lose time and necessary influence into the development and adoption of critical homeland security/cyber security and biometric standards thereby severely impacting the agency?s mission. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Unless otherwise stated herein, no additional written information is available. Request for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. The North American Industrial Classification Systems (NAICS) code is 541519 Other Computer Related Services and the applicable size standard is $21.0 Million. See Numbered Note 22.
